Looking for a Wedding Venue? Gloria Schulz Events, Wedding Day Coordinator, interviewed The Carlyle Venue in Atlanta, Georgia to get the scoop on their wedding venue. We asked a few questions to get to know the venue better to provide information to newly engaged couples looking for their perfect wedding venue.
The Carlyle Venue is a large, spacious venue with a clean, industrial vibe with white shiplap walls, a curved exposed beam ceiling in the ballroom, and unique decor. There are two large ballrooms, and a curved bar, that is really cool! The outdoor courtyard can be used for a smaller ceremony or for cocktail hour.
What is included in your rental? For a four-hour event, the prices are as follows: Saturday – $6000, Friday – $5,000, and Sunday – $4,000. This includes three hours for load-in and one hour for load-out. If you are doing the ceremony as well, that would include extra hours of load-in, some decor and an extra hour for the event, and one hour for a ceremony rehearsal. The fee for that is $1,500.
What items are included? Wood tables and chairs for 250 guests. All the furniture that is in the venue, and all of the soft seating and a bridal suite and groom’s suite. And yes, you can move the furniture around! All the glassware and highboy cocktail tables are included as well.
How many weddings do you have in one day? Only one! You will have the whole venue to yourself on your special day!
Do you have a preferred vendor list of caterers? Yes, we have a preferred list of caterers, however, if the client chooses outside of that list, then there it is subject to an additional fee.
Do couples need to hire a day-of wedding coordinator or wedding planner? Yes, they do! We require couples to hire a professional day-of-wedding coordinator to run their day to make sure everything is taken care of properly and on time!
Why should couples choose your venue? The clean, design aesthetic, large bridal suite, the venue is great for larger guest counts and can also be used to socially distance if couples are more comfortable with that!
What sets your venue apart from others? We are a family-owned business and we treat our couples like family. To us, they are an extension of our family!
What is your one piece of advice for newly engaged couples? Remember your wedding day is about your love of each other and focus on that. Do not get weighed down with the nitty-gritty details. It’s all about marrying the love of your life.
What is a fun fact about your venue that most people would not know? It used to be a dance hall back in the ’60s! The hardwood floors in the ballroom are original to the venue.
