One of the most pinned items on Pinterest is wedding florals. When you start to plan your wedding, and look for florals, I am sure you will check out Pinterest for some inspiration. It can be overwhelming for sure and seeing photos you love may not fit in your budget! So, I interviewed Jacqueline Hites, Owner and Floral Designer of Blooming Hites in Roswell, Georgia for some important information regarding the wedding floral design process. When should a wedding couple begin their search for their wedding floral designer?

12-8 months before but this people postpone due to Covid I would say ASAP because a lot of dates will not be available do to couples wanting to postpone to 2021 or 2022.

What should a wedding couple expect during the floral design process?

I like to start off very detailed in the consultation so I know exactly what my client is wanting. We will go over every detail from bridal bouquet to cake flower.  

Where should wedding couples look for inspiration for their wedding florals?

Inspiration is everywhere nowadays. Pinterest, Instagram, vendors websites. Just have fun & have a color scheme. 

What do you wish wedding couples knew about choosing their wedding florals?

Flowers are more expensive than most people think. Especially if you are wanting extraordinary designs. 

What is the best advice you could give to newly engaged couples?

Pick vendors your trust & let them run with it! You will be thanking yourself later. 

One more piece of advice I would like to give you regarding your florals. Remember that the florals will be in all of your photos! So be sure to choose flowers you love and choose the flowers that fit into the color palette and theme of your wedding!
