An outdoor garden ceremony was all that Melia dreamed of for her wedding day. However the weather in Florida which can be warm and sunny, can be unpredictable and rain showers can be possible.
The week of her wedding, the forecast was for a large storm to be approaching the area which could have possible tornadoes in it. We did have a back up plan in place in case of rain, however with the tornadoe threat, we had to make even more adjustments to the wedding day plans.
We watched the weather all week which was continuously changing. We communicated with the venue and all of the vendors the day before the wedding to let them know the new plans that were going into place.
The rental tent company would not put up the tent because of the tornado forecast. The tent was to be used for the back up rain plan for cocktail hour. Since we did not have the tent, the cocktail hour was moved into the reception space. So we used our back up, back up plan!
The morning of the wedding the forecast had improved but the rain was coming later in the day. While the weather was good, Melia and Tanner had their first look, the first look with her Dad and Brother and had all of the family and wedding party photos before the ceremony.
Fortunately, the rain held off and Melia was able to have her outdoor garden wedding ceremony. The Gloria Schulz Events Team was there prepared with umbrellas in hand just in case the clouds opened up!
We cannot control the weather but we can control our plans to deal with the inclement weather. At Gloria Schulz Events, we make backup rain plans and back up plans to the back up plans! Knowing in advance what the plans are reduces the stress for our couples, their wedding party and their families.
At the end of the day no matter where the ceremony is, our couples will get married and celebrate with their loved ones! At Gloria Schulz Events we take the necessary steps to make wedding day dreams come to life!
