Will My Wedding Be Perfect?

Are you dreaming of a perfect wedding day? Most people do! There are so many details to create a perfect wedding! While you have been dreaming and planning for your wedding day we want you to be realistic that your wedding day will be wonderful, beautiful, and everything you have planned. However, stuff happens! And issues might arise that could alter your timeline, affect your vendors or yourself. As an experienced wedding planner, we have seen a lot of different types of weddings and different issues that have unexpectedly occurred on the wedding day. So we highly recommend hiring a professional wedding planner to solve any of the issues that might arise! We as planners need to be prepared to think quickly, act swiftly, and do whatever is needed to remedy the unexpected issue! We want you to know of the three areas that could affect your wedding day, which may make it less than perfect and we want to set realistic expectations for you.

Your Vendor Team

You have hired an average of eight to ten vendors to perform professional services for you on your wedding day. You have done your due diligence and vetted the best professionals who fit your vibe and your budget. They are experienced and knowledgeable, however, sometimes things go sideways. So be realistic that they may arrive late due to traffic, have technical issues or have issues with their service. They are human and issues happen, so give them grace and know that they are doing the best for you.

The Weather Forecast

What could be more beautiful than an outdoor wedding? It sounds wonderful! Unfortunately, we cannot control Mother Nature, so please keep this in mind when you are dreaming of your outdoor ceremony or reception. It could rain, it could be hot and it could be cold! If you are a person who gets stressed easily, we recommend either not having an outdoor ceremony or if you do have one, please have a great backup plan in place if the weather does not cooperate on your wedding day. There are two sayings about rain on your wedding day, it means good luck and “a wet knot is stronger than a dry knot!” So when you are choosing your wedding date, keep the time of the year in mind, and know that the weather can be a factor on your wedding day and do not be disappointed if you have to go plan B.

Keep Calm & Get Married

Your wedding day is one of the biggest milestone events of your life. A lot of time, money, and decisions have been put into this day and emotions can run high. You are bringing two families together, you have friends from your past and present and you are marrying the love of your life. That is a lot to process! Family dynamics can also play a role, so take deep breaths, stay present, and enjoy your wedding day. It will go by in a flash so soak it all in and stay calm.

We know how excited you are to see all of your friends and family and that you want to have fun and enjoy your time with them. But please keep in mind that stuff happens! There are so many moving parts to a wedding day that there might be something that will not go according to plan. It might be something as small as a button falling off a tuxedo or it can be as big as a vendor issue or catering running behind schedule. Whatever the issue is, by having a professional wedding planner there for you who can help to alleviate any issues that might arise on your wedding day is worth every penny! So remember to hire professional vendors, have a weather back up plan in place and have realistic expectations for your wedding day! With this advice, we hope that your dream wedding day will be as you enivsioned it.
