Peace of Mind is Priceless: A Mother’s Take on Working with Gloria Schulz Events
A mother has a very important role in the life of her daughter. She nurtures her daughter when she is a child growing up. When her daughter becomes a young adult and meets the love of her life and gets engaged, her mother wants to do all that she can to help her plan her dream wedding!
But the mother realizes that she herself needs support and advice because planning a wedding is a big job! Her daughter has dreamed of this special day and all of the details. And the mother wants to see her daughter’s dream realized. And especially if this is her first daughter or only daughter to get married, she wants to do it right and she doesn’t know what she doesn’t know!
Our previous client Sarah Brown realized she needed help with the wedding planning because her daughter Natalie was living in New York and Sarah was living in Georiga. Natalie chose the St. Regis in Atlanta for the site of her wedding since she and her fiancee grew up in the Altanta area. Sarah and Natalie wanted to hire a professional wedding planner who was familiar with the St. Regis and had years of planning experience to keep them on track and to feel less overwhelmed. So I recently reached out to our previous client, the mother of the bride, Sarah Brown and asked her a few questions about her experience working with Gloria Schulz Events as her wedding planner. I also wanted to know from Sarah if she had any insight that she could share with other mothers who are considering hiring a wedding planner for their own daughter’s wedding. As a wedding planner, I feel that the more information my client’s have, the better decisions they can make during the planning process. “I originally thought I could handle everything as Mother of the Bride. Once we started to interview wedding planners, I realized quickly there was so much that “ I did not know what I did not know!”
Did you understand the wedding planner’s value when you started searching for a wedding planner?
” Yes, once we started interviewing, I quickly realized the value of a wedding planner! There was so much that I never thought of or even knew about to plan a perfect wedding day!”
Did you feel supported by your wedding planner during the process?

Do you think it is beneficial to hire a wedding planner?

What advice can you give to other mothers of the Bride regarding the wedding planning process?
“Hire someone you trust, someone who understands the Bride’s wishes, can balance multiple Family dynamics, values, and appreciates everyone’s input from the bride, groom, all family members all multiple vendors.”
I hope that hearing it straight from Sarah’s point of view should help alleviate some of the worry and overwhelm you might be feeling as the mother of the bride! It can be a lot to handle especially if you and your daughter do not see eye to eye on some of the details of the day or if there are any family dynamics that come into play. Emotions can run high!
