Your Bridesmaids are your best buds, they are girls you have known for a while, maybe even since grade school. They know you well, they value your friendship, and they are honored to stand by your side on your wedding day. So what are their responsibilities? Especially when it comes to finances. It can all add up, travel, the bachelorette party, bridal showers, rehearsal dinner, outfits, bridesmaids dress, shoes, hair, makeup, jewelry! They invest a lot in your special wedding day. Here are the most common questions that Brides ask about us about their Bridesmaids and here our answers for you!
When Should My Bridesmaids Order Their Dresses? Do My Bridesmaids Pay for Their Own Hair and Makeup? Do My Bridesmaids All Have to Wear the Same Style Dress? Do My Bridesmaids Have to Wear Matching Shoes? Do My Bridesmaids Have to Wear Matching Jewelry?
They should order their dresses at least 3 to 4 months before your wedding to account for time for alterations. They do not need to be wearing the same style or color dress. Each girl has different body types, so choose a dress that comes in different styles that will look good on them. You can even mix and match colors.
They can pay for one of the services, like their hairstyle, and you can “Gift” the service of their makeup. This way they aren’t paying an arm and a leg to look gorgeous. They do not have to wear matching shoes. I would suggest they all wear shoes in the same color family. Like beige, this way they can use them again and the cost doesn’t hurt so much! They can wear matching jewelry if you Gifted it to them, like a necklace or earrings. This will look pretty in the photos too!
Your Bridesmaids are thrilled to see you walk down the aisle and marry the love of your life. Don’t burden them with extravagant costs, keep it easy and simple and they will thank you for being so considerate of them. Who knows they may ask you to be their Bridesmaid next!
