The most popular month to get married in the South is October. Why? The weather is perfect! No heat, no humidty, no rain. Just sun and crisp fall air! But if you plan to have an October wedding in the South, then you MUST plan well in advance to secure the venue and your vendors. They all book up very quickly, as much as 1 1/2 years out!
So you must be diligent in your venue search and your vendor search. Don't procrastinate, book them as soon as possible. Also, keep in mind that it is a prime season to get married, so pricing may be a little higher for everything than you expected! Similar to when you want to go on Summer vacation for Fourth of July, it costs more to go then! Well our couple knew before they got engaged where they wanted the wedding so that was very helpful and they had their choice of October dates. They also were very detailed and organzied with their wedding planning, and that was also helpful! So be smart and book early! You will not be disappointed as you will have your choice of the best vendors!
